Dashing through the snow

As you can see it's snowing yeaaah. I am so exited there is just something about the snow that makes me happy. Everything is way more beautiful and festive ones it starts snowing in December and let's face it what is Christmas without snow.
For all of you wondering, no, I was not cold. Going from store to store I realized chunky knitted, glittery sweaters are everywhere which made me remember I had one like those, it was just buried somewhere in my closet. So I found it and thought how awesome it would match my new silver watch. Until recently I didn't wear bracelets, watches or anything actually on my wrists and let me tell you once I started I got addicted.

Christmas wishlist

I know the whole concept is to receive the items on your Christmas list as presents to me it is just a little bit different. My parents have never been good at choosing gifts for me and for each other as a matter of fact, so every year we do this thing where they give me money and I go and buy all the presents for everybody. Not toot my own horn but I am awesome at picking gifts especially for the people I love because I really put a thought and my heart into it. To me it is not just about getting people what they might need but making them happy. And don't think that all those things on the pictures will be presents from them, I am actually planning on buying most of the things myself.

As for clothing this year I want just a few things and I think it is going to be pretty easy since I want to make the skirt and the dress and I have already found a denim shirt I liked but due to the mall closing the other day I couldn't buy it then.

I recently cleaned up my beauty cabinet and I have come to the conclusion that I don't really need anything and the things I want of course we don't have even in the Sephora in Sofia. Now that I am getting more and more into wearing accessories the only things I could actually use more of  is jewelry. More specific bracelets and necklaces. Last week I got a silver watch and now I want a gold or rose gold one.

Loved up

Yet another item in my closet in this or similar color. As for the outfit, well you can see it, the jeans and the shoes I've had forever and the sweater my mom made for herself but the awesome daughter I am she couldn't say no when I asked for it.
The thing I wanted to ask you today is have you ever been evacuated from a building? I am asking this because today as I was browsing the jewelry section at H&M at one of the malls in Sofia when I heard an announcement that we had to get out of the building.  On the way out as people were freaking out I heard a woman talking on the phone going all crazy angry because this was happening for the 3rd time now and she couldn't shop which made me laugh even more, I mean come on that's not the only place you could go shopping here. Overall today has been a shopping fail for me, first a went to another mall that just opened a few weeks ago aaand nothing, zero complete tragedy and then the evacuation?! The thing is and why I was mad and still am is because I haven't been shopping in like forever and I don't have the time to go every day so when I get to go do some shopping I try to make the best of it. I have a whole list of things I want and need so I couldn't help but get a bit mad when all I got was a mascara and a nail polish.
I am now putting my wishlist all ready and I am going to post it here tomorrow so stay tuned.

Burgundy burgundy burgundy

I finally found them. The burgundy pair of pants that actually fit me and look good on. It took me about 2 and something months of searching and trying on but I found them. And of course as you can probably imagine I wear them every time I go out. Plus I realized how many items I have in this or similar color. It all started with a H&M dress this spring and now - the dress, the pants, the shorts, the shoes a sweater, which you will see probably on Wednesday and I am also making another dress and skirt and I am knitting a scarf. If you go and have a look in my closet you will see a lot of black, beige, white and then a blob of burgundy. I need to start wearing color more.
OK enough with the talking to myself, yes I as I am writing this I am actually saying it out loud, it helps me sometimes to not loose my thoughts and I will go and have something for dinner because I am starving.

Suave Keratin Infusion

This line is something I came across a few months ago but got to try it last week. I have the  Smoothing Lower Sulfate shampoo and conditioner and I have washed my hair with them about may be 5 times and let me tell you I am amazed how  I got both of them for under $10. They smell amazing and after I dry my hair it feels like I went to the salon. I am happy I bought them but I am kinda mad at myself that I didn't get all the products from the line since of course we don't get it here or at least I haven't seen Suave products in the drugstores in Bulgaria.
I now realized that this is something I say a lot these days: we don't have this brand here or we have only the permanent lines and not the new collections so much that I might as well just call this segment of my blog Great products that you can't get in BG unless you order them online but they are very nice though!

When the leaves are falling

These to colors, the sparkly beige on sweater and the maroon on pumps, scream fall to me. The sweater is just perfect and I couldn't believe the price tag when I saw it, under $20?!  About the shoes I don't know if I have said this but they are the most uncomfortable high heeled shoes I know, it is ridicules how much my shoes hurt after wearing them and this is why I have worn them only twice. Every time I see them I get reminded of how big of an impulsive shopper I am. I remember I was at Forever 21 and had a few things with me to try on and on the hangers everything looked nice but the great surprise was they looked awful on me except this pretty A-line blue dress. You know how at the dressing room there is a table, a rack packed with already tried on stuff that people didn't like, so as I opened the door to show my friend I saw those shoes and thought the heel was awesome and the color was so pretty. Little did I know that if I had just made more than 5 steps or waited a few days and seen that now burgundy, oxblood, maroon shoes are everywhere I wouldn't have bought them.

It's all about the light part 2

As I promised yesterday this is the second part of my project. This time the light had to come from in front of me that is why I decide to add a little glam with putting on my favorite DIY project. I made this dress about 2 years ago and have worn it out I believe 2 times, both special occasions and this shoot. I couldn't be happier with how all the photos turned out.

It's all about the light part 1

When studying set and costume design you get to have all sorts of cool classes like this one for which this shoot was. It's called Light as space defining factor, sounds awesome right! The project its self is about positioning of the light source. First part was that the source had to be behind the person and the second I will show you tomorrow. At first I was a little bit weird posing like that and I had to wait till it got dark out so that the only light is from my candles and lamps. I had to present 5 selected and different photos but let me just say I got so into it me and my mom (who played the photographer) stayed till 3 AM, ended up taking about a 100 pics added a few touch ups and Vuola!

Wild child

If you had asked me a year ago I would have said "I am not wearing my fur vest with any jacket under it!" and now I realize how stupid of me that was because ever since I paired it with my leather jacket it has been my favorite combo. Not to mention I got this hat about 3 months ago from American Eagle (similar here) and I wore it for the first time the other day. It is getting colder and colder and hats are the perfect accessories (besides scarves of course) to keep you warm and stylish at the same time.

Beauty hour: Maybelline madness

Dream Fresh BB 8-In-1 Beauty Balm Skin Perfector in the shade Light: I used this BB cream all trough the summer and I think it is perfect if you want just something light on your skin.  

Fit Me Foundation in the shade 225 and Dream Liquid Mousse Makeup in the shade Sandy Beige: Both foundations give medium coverage without feeling like you have a mask on your face. The Fit Me Foundation is definitely lighter and more liquidy consistency and the Dream Liquid one give just a little bit more coverage. I like wearing the first one during the day when I am at school or just running errands and the other one I wear when I go out or when I am going for more of a polished look.

Dream Bouncy Blush in the shade Hot Tamale: there was a lot of hype when those blushed came out because of the ''bouncy'' factor and now there are a lot of people who would  say they don't like them, the color pay off is horrible or the staying power is not that great. My opinion is they give a natural and subtle tint to your cheeks and  if you are going for more of an out there blush look and you already have them you can always put powder blush in similar color on top to set it.

Dream Lumi Touch Highlighting Concealer in the shade Buff and Illegal Length Fiber Extensions Mascara: let me tell you I am simply in love with those two. The concealer is great and covers my very visible under eye circles and the mascara (excluding the fact that it is a waterproof one because let's face it I never look at the packaging when I buy something) is amazing for a less than $10. In the past I have had almost all of the Maybelline mascara and for drugstore ones the rock.

Eye Studio Color Tattoo Eyeshadow in the shade Bad to the Bronze: this shadow I would say is great just on its own or even if you want to layer it with a powder shadow on top. It has very good staying power and doesn't crease. I like more of a natural look but if you want to go for some color the Edgy Emerald shade is a very pretty color.

  

Baby Lips Lip Balm in the color Cherry Me: this is the only beauty product that never leaves my sight, it is always with me and on my lips. I love it so much I am going to buy all the other colors which by the way look awesome especially the Grape Vine one now that burgundy and deep reds are so in. 

If you can't tell already I have been a little obsessed with Maybelline lately but that is in my opinion one of the best drugstore brands that we get here in Bulgaria and have in mind we don't even get all their products.
